Leuven
Three words: beer, bars and students. Leuven is the hometown of Stella beer, one of the biggest in the world. We say that a Stella still tastes best in Leuven (this is not true, but it's a nice lie).
The old market square in the historical city is called the largest bar in Europe, because this square alone has got 35 bars in a row. And some more numbers: the centre of Leuven has 30.000 inhabitants, plus 35.000 students, of which 5.000 are exchange students.
Add all this together, and you see why this is a good party town, "only a fart away" from Brussels.
