WHEN TO COME TO BRUGES
Bruges is called 'Venice of the North' because of the water and its little bridges... but also because of the tourists. So if you want to avoid the masses, avoid the summer months. Bruges remains Belgium's number one romantic attraction, and the city festivals are quite small-scale.
